WEBER and CHINA CONCEPT sign Memorandum of Understanding

13 October 2009 at 12:30 Hong Kong- WEBER, through WEBER International BV, and CHINA CONCEPT LTD have announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding outlining a collaboration in the field of management consultancy, deal making, financing and setting up joint ventures.

Mr Gilbert James Weber, Chairman of WEBER International BV, and Mr David T.C. Lie, Executive Chairman of CHINA CONCEPT LTD based in Hong Kong with offices in Beijng and Shanghai have announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding outlining a collaboration in the field of management consultancy, deal making, financing and setting up joint ventures. The collaboration provides introductions to current and potential clients from Europa and China respectively.

China Concept has a wide range of contacts in the Chinese government, which have been built up over the course of our 500 plus projects. These contacts are at the national and local levels and with industry regulatory bodies and legal institutions. Several members of the consulting team have a background in the public sector. Since 1993 Executive Chairman, Mr. David Lie, has been a Member of the National Committee of the 8th and 9th Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference, an advisory body that is part of the Chinese central government.

Their clients are leading international firms seeking to develop their operations in China. They range from businesses entering China for the first time to companies with extensive operations in China. What they have in common is an understanding that services of third-party China experts can facilitate their operations in China and enhance their competitive advantages.

This collaboration is in line with the strategy of WEBER International to expand and strengthen the consultancy business in AsiaPacific region. Vice versa, China Concept will use WEBER as an European hub for their Chinese clients.
